2018-11-14 Ireland v Germany

Under 17 friendly tournament match final game between Ireland and Germany. Tim Lemperle got Germany off to the perfect start as he side-footed home minutes into the game. Ireland could have been level if Ronan McKinley had had a bit more composure in front of goal after brilliant work from Matt Everitt. In the second half, Ireland again had a gilt-edged chance to level matters as Ronan McKinley’s effort rebounded off the woodwork and with that Germany went up the other end and scored to double their lead thanks to a Marvin Weiss effort. Kerim Calhanoglu scored from the spot minutes later to make it 3-0. Ireland deservedly got on the scoresheet on 70 minutes as Matt Everitt threw himself at the ball and headed in; however, the Germans wrapped up matters towards the end of play as Marlon Dardai converted at the near post.
